We are increasingly being asked by our arriving clients “can I bring my personal prescription medical cannabis or THC gummies with me to Barbados”.
The answer is NO.
According to Mr Percival Campbell, Drug Inspector at the Barbados Drug Service in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, “the use of edibles or smoking of medical marijuana is not allowed in Barbados”.
However, you can apply to The Director of the Barbados Drug Service via letter form for a “Personal Import Authorisation for Narcotics” and you can view a copy of the suggested application letter here.
