The Atlantis Hotel in Tent Bay, St Joseph, was one of the first and only hotels on the East Coast of Barbados. It was a popular stop once the railway was completed in 1883. The property changed hands several times over the years and on December 7th 2009 the Atlantis Hotel reopened under the ownership of Andrew and Patricia Warden of Little Good Harbour and The Fish Pot.
Offering a sumptuous Bajan Buffet Lunch on Wednesdays and Sundays, with mouth watering local dishes such as Pickled Green Banana Salad, Pumpkin Fritters, Breadfruit Oil Down, Honey & Pineapple Roasted Chicken, Madras Curry Goat, Steamed Okra Cou Cou, Pepperpot, Roast Pork, Coconut Bread, Bread and Butter Pudding (vegetarian dishes also available). The restaurant is also open for Lunch during the rest of the week and on Saturdays, as well as for Dinner with an a la carte or table d’hote menu.
