Apsara and Tamnak Thai

Apsara & Tamnak Thai on the South Coast are back open again, following a fire on the premises at the end of August 2007.

Patrons can once again enjoy the authentic cuisines from Northern India and from Thailand in the setting of landscaped gardens with sculptures and water features.

The chefs from the Apsara kitchen create masterful food that will delight the most discerning palate. Their tandoor ovens produce mouthwatering Peshwari Nan, Chicken Tikka, Sikh Kebabs and other tandoori specialities.

Tamnak Thai offers Thai cuisine where the diner can choose the more formal dining spaces within the building, or wide shaded galleries with louvred demerara shutters which open to the breeze and views of the gardens and many mature trees.

Aqua
Aqua brings West Coast sophistication to the South Coast.

Located ocean side on Worthing Main Road, Aqua has a very elegant decor and the menu is designed to suit a wide cross-section of palates.

The traditional Bajan varandah wooden railing has been replaced by glass, allowing unobstructed views of the Hastings coastline and the fresh breezes coming off the ocean.

The downstairs area of Aqua is the bar and a comfortable lounge and dining facility where you can sit, drink, chill, have a few starters, or share a main course with your partner.

While Aqua has a great atmosphere and is a fabulous location, we found the food to be overpriced.

Bert's
The newest sports bar on the South Coast,  Bert's--- best known for its daiquiris--- has a dramatically new look following a $3 million face lift. But it is still the best place to catch the game (especially hockey) and enjoy authentic stone-fired pizza.

Owned by Bert Inniss and Eugene Melnyk, who also owns the Ottawa Senators Hockey team, Bert's is a blend of North American influence and Bajan cheer, with a hint of Italian bistro cuisine.

Sports fans can catch all the action with state-of-the-art satellite programming on high-definition plasma screens that are mounted throughout the bar and restaurant.

A new menu has been developed with the show piece a stone fired pizza oven where two Italian chefs put on a crowd pleasing show as they toss  pizza dough in the air---outstanding pizza!

Bert's makes sure the beer stays cold with chilled glasses, pitchers & bottles on ice in buckets for your table. Of course, a visit to the House of the Daiquiri wouldn't be the same without sampling the famous banana daiquiri...
