Villa Melissa is an understated, luxury villa vacation experience. It can be rented in its entirety as a five bedroom villa, or alternatively, as a three bedroom villa by taking just the main house. Located in a quiet cul de sac within Queen's Fort, just outside of Holetown, it is just a short walk away from the beach.
The three bedrooms in the main house have all been refurbished with beautful travertine marble tiles, creamy coral stone walls and the ensuite bathrooms have new chrome bathroom fittings and marble finishes. The bedrooms are are air-conditioned with ceiling fans. The master bedroom has a king size bed and opens out on to the gardens and pool deck. The middle bedroom has twin beds while the third bedroom has a queen bed.
The living room has been transformed with new coral rendered walls and completely re-tiled throughout, giving a light, soft feel with a cool, natural experience under foot.
Holiday life is centered around outdoor living and soaking up the Caribbean atmosphere at Villa Melissa is no exception. Surrounded by French doors, the living area opens on to the "L" shaped, covered, coral stone patio. This, too, is where all meals are taken - alfresco style - at the large round hand carved dining table.
The cottage is completely made of old coral stone and has two ensuite bedrooms, a kitchen and two patios – an ideal arrangement for two families or groups of friends. The very large master bedroom has a king size four poster bed, while the second bedroom has twin beds.
The staff at Villa Melissa includes Victor, the very effecient yet laid back butler, and big hearted Maria, with her huge smile as she cooks and fusses over mouth watering meals. There is also a maid/laundress.
A shallow, free form pool wraps itself around the patio in the middle of the picturesque gardens. The pool is particularly suited for families where children can be watched from the water's edge whilst the adults sun are bathing on comfortable loungers.
High speed ADSL internet access with wireless connection is available to guests who bring their laptops. The house now has a 32" flat screen television, with surround sound and Bose speakers, and is equipped to play DVD, Video, or CDs.
Rate includes watersports from the nearby Fairmont Royal Pavilion (water-skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, sunfish and hobie cat sailing) A private vehicle is also available for guests' use at a rate of US$60 per day.
